LNPATS Joins Ministry of Health for Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event

The Liberia National Police Academy and Training School (LNPATS), through its health team, will join the Ministry of Health and other partners this Saturday, October 24, 2026, in activities marking the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

The awareness event will feature a public walk beginning at Monrovia City Hall and ending at Invincible Park, bringing together health professionals, law enforcement personnel, partners and members of the public in solidarity with individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

This year’s campaign is being observed under the theme: “Examine Your Breast, Share Your Story and Seek Care Early.”

The initiative seeks to increase public awareness about breast cancer, encourage regular breast examination and promote early medical attention when unusual changes are detected. Early detection remains an important part of improving treatment outcomes and saving lives.

LNPATS’ participation reflects the institution’s commitment not only to professional police training but also to promoting the health and well-being of its personnel and the wider Liberian community.

Members of the LNPATS community and the general public are encouraged to support the awareness campaign and join the walk on Saturday as Liberia continues to promote breast cancer education, early detection and access to care.

Together, we can raise awareness, encourage early action and support the fight against breast cancer.
